CG members also identify and evaluate projects surfaced by NUS’ partner organisations. Projects that meet the project selection criteria would then be paired with faculty and students from relevant departments to provide a multi-disciplinary approach.

Four criteria for project selection:

  • Issues related to medical, social, technology and financial literacy, among others.
  • Ideas that extend existing community efforts, because NUS can distinctively add value through research.
  • Innovation To conceptualise solutions that change the way we think and do things. Also, how solutions can be conceived and implemented without incurring high costs.
  • Impact Driven by impact on, and benefits to society.
